Dorset Wines
The success of Dorset as a winemaking county started in essence in 2005 when Rebecca Hansford and Ian Edwards purchased and developed Furleigh Estate just outside of Bridport. In due course, their first wine Classic Cuvee 2009 was declared English sparkling wine of the year and the rest is history. Furleigh Estate is now recognised as a top Sparkling wine producer in this country and abroad and we are pleased to call them friends! At a similar time, Steven & Bella Spurrier were exploring the potential of their chalk soiled farm in a natural bowl of land within the beautiful Bride Valley. We again know Steven & Bella as friends and neighbours and were delighted to see the success of Bride Valley Vineyards which again won acclaim from all corners of the wine world. Sadly, Steven passed away in 2021. The third Dorset Vineyard that we stock in Langham Estate near Blandford. The brainchild of Justin Langham, the estate has quickly established itself as another top-quality producer in Dorset.
